Melissa Vander Hey - Elementary Team Lead

I graduated from Baylor where I met my husband, Josh. After getting married, we soon settled in East Dallas. We attended The Village for 8 years and are excited to help launch Eastside because we love our part of town, our neighborhood and neighbors! I am a mother to 4 kiddos and spend most of my time at home with them; Noah, Matthew, Lyla, and Levi. I also do public relations and development for a local non-profit called Child & Family Guidance Center, and volunteer with Young Lives and Involved For Life. Josh enjoys playing outside, fixing things, and loves wrestling with our kids. 

Our hopes for Eastside are that every person who walks through our doors would feel the rescuing love and presence of our good God and that we would be an Acts 2 community, devoting ourselves to the gospel, fellowship, breaking bread and prayer. We pray that in so doing we would grow deeper in our faith, love and trust of God and wider in our reach to those around us.
